Howdy again! Last weekend we were extremely fortunate enough to be apart of Ryne’s sister’s wedding weekend in Austin, Texas. It was – to say the least – utterly fantastic and hopefully romantic. Every detail was appropriately hand strung and mastered by the bride and her bridesmaids, and I definitely felt the need to document all my favorite DIY pieces.
To match her greeny, springy color palette, these rolled up scrapbooking papers held cups of lavender to toss as the exited the wedding. She found this vintage wooden 7UP crate at a local flea!
The Winfield Inn served as the perfect venue for an outdoor spring dream – my favorite part, of course, was this branchy backdrop for the ceremony.
Chair hangings ordered from Etsy were absolutely adorable touches to their head table setting. The back of the groom’s chair matched with “I’m her MR.”
Cupcake Towers are officially my favorite accessory to a wedding. While you might think they make more of a mess, they are actually highly convenient to discard and easily servable, especially when you want to minimize the time it takes to cut and distribute dessert. TOO, these towers allow you to maximize your flavor count- each level of this tower is equipped with a different tasty treat: vanilla on vanilla, vanilla on snicker-doodle, chocolate on chocolate, all vegan. I managed to snag a taste-test of each, and they were absolutely yummy. Favorite part? The “cake” topper!
This cupcake topper can be customized to look like the bride and groom by an Etsy shop run by CreativeButterflyXOX. Included next to these signature pieces is their boxer, Sidney – one big happy, cupcake topping family!
LOVED this display next to one of the bars – customized cups and fun soda-shoppe straws served as sweet party favors for guests.
Finally, to beat the Texas heat, wedding programs doubled as fans so that guests could comfortably enjoy the outdoor ceremony. Again, the fans were displayed in a wooden crate found at a local flea market.
The entire weekend was out-of-this-world wonderful, and this is only a small helping of the sweetness we were able to witness. Hopefully these worthwhile touches serve as some inspiration for your own wedding ventures!
